Turning pixelated footage into something usable
There is an unfortunate trend in sports videography, where humans with camcorders have been replaced with “auto-cams” sitting on top of a tall tripod. If you’ve been to any team sport at the high school level, you’ve seen them, even if you didn’t know what they were. Little green or white devices that look like spaceships that advertise themselves as the next generation of sports videography.
The reality is these “auto-cams” are not the holy grail of sports video, and are actually not even doing what you think they are. There are NOT following the action as they film the game, they just film the entire field and let AI crop to the action later. So even if they purport to film in “4k” the AI is cropping down to something smaller, in some cases much smaller to reframe the action. To better understand the problem, think about a time you took a photo on your phone and then pinch-zoomed into the image to see a close-up and all you get was blocky pixels.
If all you are looking for is game film to analyze your team’s performance and positioning, this is likely “good enough”.
If you want to use this footage to showcase your highlight this footage is downright terrible. And look something like this:
Where is the Athlete we are supposed to be watching?
It’s 2026, and you think, no problem, we’ll just zoom/crop into the action and you get this pixelated mess:
This footage has been zoomed in 307% and the players are still pretty small and terribly blocky
You or your team has PAID for this pixely, roblox mess, and now you supposed to use this footage in your college recruiting reel?
Redwolf Sports Media to the Rescue!
This low quality footage has become the norm and we’re disappointed that the industry has let this happen, but we refuse to let this be the end or the story
We’ve developed a process leveraging AI to increase the quality of the footage to something “better”.
There is no way to turn that pixelated footage into NFL 4k Sunday afternoon games, but we are able to at least make those clip watchable.

Be sure to set your youtube player to the maximum quality (1080p) to see the difference
We are proud to announce that this services is now fully available, and can be added to any recruiting reel on a clip-by-clip basis so you only pay to enhance the clips that really need it.
